Business Shield

Business Shield: employee privacy protection for UK companies

Attackers do their homework on your staff before they send a single email. Business Shield removes what they would find: the home addresses, phone numbers and email addresses traded by data brokers and people search sites. Less for them to work with, far less spam for your people, and clear progress for you, without ever seeing anyone’s private details. It is employee privacy protection your staff will actually opt into.

Every seat includes

Four things, for every person you cover

Data broker removal

We find where your people are listed across the UK data brokers and people search sites that matter, get them taken down, and keep them down.

TPS registration

Every person goes on the UK’s official do not call register, so the cold calls, and the scam calls that hide among them, dry up.

Breach exposure checks

We check whether their details are sitting in known data breaches and deal with what we find. Anything touching a work email address is shared with you.

Ongoing re-checks

Brokers relist people. We keep checking, and anyone who reappears goes straight back on close watch. The protection holds.

zzz
An added bonusYour people’s phones go quiet.

Less data in circulation means fewer spam calls, texts and junk email. Staff notice within weeks, and it is the easiest security win you will ever announce.

The privacy wall

Your company sees progress, never private findings.

Every person consents for themselves, and we work on their authority. You see who is covered and how it is going, per person and per source, and any breach that touches your company’s own email addresses. What was found about the person stays with us. That is built into the system, not written in a policy.

This is why people say yes. Nothing about them is exposed to their employer, so they opt in. And you get the assurance without holding a single piece of your staff’s private data. No ID documents are collected unless a specific source insists, and then only from the person, never through you.
Invitation

Hello Daniel,

Your employer has arranged privacy protection for you through EraseMe. It is your choice whether to take part, and your employer will never see what we find.

Read how it works and consent

Takes a few minutes. No ID documents needed. Link valid for 14 days.

What your people see

One invitation. One yes. Nothing to do after that.

Each person gets their own invitation from us. It says what will happen, what you will and will not see, and that it is their choice. They say yes in a few minutes and we get to work. No logins, no documents, nothing for HR or IT to chase.

Ready-made announcements in six tones mean the invitation is expected, not suspicious.

Why it matters

Your employees' personal data is part of your attack surface

Spear phishing, impersonation and invoice fraud rarely start with clever code. They start with research: a work email in a breach list, a mobile number and home address on a people search site. The more an attacker knows about your staff, the more convincing the fake invoice, the call from "the bank", or the email that knows just a little too much.

For people in public facing or sensitive roles it is also a safety issue. An address that can be found in thirty seconds changes how it feels to do a difficult job, and looking after that is part of your duty of care.

The thinking behind Business Shield
On the record

Every request tracked, followed up and on record

Each removal is tracked from the day it goes out until it is resolved, with follow ups on schedule and escalation where a source ignores us, including to the ICO where appropriate. Specialists oversee every case, and nothing is left to drift.

You watch it happen in real time on your own dashboard, and a full report is available in your portal whenever you need one, not in a quarterly summary.

How it works

From first call to protected team

1

Setup call

We agree seats and scope, and sign the service agreement.

2

Invite your people

Add staff one at a time or in bulk. Each person gets their own invitation.

3

Individual consent

A few minutes each, no documents. Work starts as soon as they say yes.

4

We do the removal work

Removals, TPS registration and breach checks for every person, chased until resolved.

5

Watch progress

A plain status for every person, and reports you can drop straight into a board pack or an insurance renewal.

6

Stay protected

Re-checks keep people clear. Leavers free their seat immediately for someone new.

The scale of it

Who it is for

Built for teams whose work puts them in view

Security teams come to shrink what an attacker can find. HR and leadership come to look after the people whose jobs put them in view. Both leave with what they came for.

Law firmsPartners and fee earners are researched by name, and contentious work can follow people home.
HealthcareClinicians deal with distressed people who sometimes fixate on an individual rather than an institution.
Social workSafeguarding decisions can make staff a target, and a findable home address raises the stakes.
EducationTeachers and school leaders are visible to pupils, parents and anyone holding a grievance.
Journalism and mediaBylines attract attention. Reporters and their families should not be easy to locate.
FinanceAccess to money makes staff worth researching for fraud and impersonation attempts.
HR teamsHR handle disputes, dismissals and grievances, usually under their own full names.
Security professionalsThe people who defend organisations are researched by the people they defend against.
Why EraseMe

A UK service built around one hard question

Most services in this market are automated, built for the US, and silent on what the employer gets to see. Business Shield was designed around the answer.

Two tiers

Everyone starts on a standard seat.
Upgrade your most exposed people to their own private portal.

Tier 1

Standard seat

For everyone you cover. They say yes once, and we do the rest.

  • Data broker and people search removal
  • TPS registration
  • Breach exposure checks
  • Ongoing adaptive re-checks
  • Progress visible to you, per person and per source
  • Findings held by us, never shown to you
Tier 2

Enhanced protection

For the people who cost the most if compromised: partners, executives, spokespeople, finance signatories, or anyone already targeted. Everything in the standard seat, plus:

  • Their own secure portal login
  • Full detail of their own removals and findings
  • An agreed allowance of personal removal requests: news articles, images, other content
  • Facial recognition monitoring, one off or monthly
  • Scope and pricing agreed per person

You request it, they benefit, and the privacy wall holds. Scope and pricing agreed per person.

Questions companies ask

Frequently asked questions

Do our employees have to take part?+

No. Every person chooses for themselves and consents individually before any work starts. Most do, because taking part costs them nothing and their employer never sees their personal findings.

What do we see as the employer?+

Enrolment and progress: who is enrolled, which sources have been dealt with and which are still being chased, counts and dates, and any data breach involving your company email addresses. Never the personal findings, and never any document.

Do you collect ID documents from our staff?+

Not at sign up. If a specific website requires proof of identity for a removal, we ask that individual directly through a secure single use link. Documents are encrypted and never shared with the employer.

Is this a one off clean up?+

No. Data brokers relist people, so every person is re-checked on a schedule that adapts to their results: three months, stretching to six and then twelve as results stay clean, and straight back to close watch if anything reappears.

What happens when someone leaves the company?+

Their seat frees immediately for a replacement. Their remaining data with us is deleted after a short review period, and the privacy wall holds even after they have gone.

Will this reduce spam calls and emails to our staff?+

It helps, though no one can stop every spammer. Removal cuts off the broker lists that feed cold calls and junk email, and TPS registration means legitimate telemarketers are required to stop calling. Less data in circulation means less of it can reach your people.

How fast does it start?+

Work for each person begins as soon as they complete their consent, typically within days of the company joining.
